Appeal
LTTE not involved in illegal acts - an
appeal to the Times of India
[EelamNation, November 22, 2000]
The Indian newspapers and journalists display monumental ignorance about the 17 years
old ethnic conflict raging in the Island. Of course newspapers like The Times of India, Hindu and Hindustan Times, just to name a few,
deliberately falsify and distort news to suit their hidden agenda viz to denigrate the
LTTE. auto moto cheat discount car rentals budget quotations
The periodical reporting that the LTTE has sent its cadres to assassinate politicians
in UP or Tamil Nadu is nothing but total fabrication without an iota of truth. When
Bill Clinton visited India, newspapers reported quoting "highly placed intelligence
sources" to say that LTTE is planning to assassinate President Clinton! Even when
Babri Mosque was demolished some years ago, the Indian newspapers glibly reported that all
the Kar Sevaks involved in the demolition were trained by the LTTE! Games online, dress up games for free.
It is also claimed that LTTE has links with guerrilla groups fighting in the Northeast,
Nagaland etc. Such claim has no basis whatsoever and is just sheer propaganda.
Most probably LTTE might not even know where is Nagaland!
LTTE has no organization links with any groups in India, including Veerappan.
Some Tamils (Vaiko, Nedumaran, and Dr. Ramdoss) extend moral and political support
to LTTE on their own. But they too have no organizational links with LTTE.
The Liberation Tigers does not involve itself in any illegal activities like drug
trafficking, human smuggling etc. This is just Sri Lankan government's Goebelsian
propaganda. LTTE is a highly disciplined guerrilla organization. Alcohol, sex,
smoking are totally forbidden. To your information not a single instance of drug
trafficking or human smuggling has been registered against the LTTE anywhere in the world. Welcome to the organic seo Gear Is A.
You quoted the police as saying that Veerappan and his associates have close links with
the Tigers, particularly Maran, head of Tamil Nadu Liberation Army. This news is
false. May be the TNLF draws inspiration from Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, but
there are no links.
Finally, we want to conclude by asking you not to drag the name of the LTTE, which is
fighting for the liberation of Tamil Eelam with Indian politics. The LTTE has said
that it respects India and consider India as a natural ally and a friend of the Tamil
people due to the language, religious and cultural links the 3 million Tamil Eelam Tamils
have with the 60 million Tamils in Tamil Nadu.
